I just want to put this on the record, that when it comes to memorable characters for newer consoles, Nintendo really takes the cake. Here’s a list of what to look forward to with Nintendo in the future:

For the Wii, Kirby is returning with the (oddly named) Kirby Epic Yarn title, which I honestly can’t wait for because of its unique style and creative design.
Also, they give Rare a swift kick in the nuts with a surprise title Donkey Kong Country Returns taking another great 2D platformer to the console and upgrading it even further than Rare ever could.
Metroid Other M continues to dazzle with its amazing look and feel. I can’t wait for this one.
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is the latest Zelda game which seems to take the styles of both Twilight Princess AND Wind Waker… So its less dark I guess.
The 3DS was also talked about, and the BIGGEST surprise was the return of a much deserved return for Kid Icarus Uprising

The Nintendo 3DS also promised to bring other titles to its roster such as Animal Crossing, Nintendogs + Cats, Star Fox, Pilot Wings and Paper Mario. Not to mention a TON of support from 3rd party developers such as Konami, Namco and Capcom just to name a short few bringing familiar titles like Bomberman, Contra, Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter and Resident Evil.
